What does Georgia NEMT driver credentialing require?
Every driver who takes a Medicaid trip in the Verida network needs a complete, current file: a valid Georgia license for the vehicle class they drive, a clean motor-vehicle record, a criminal background check, drug and alcohol screening, and proof of the required training - typically defensive driving, CPR and First Aid, and wheelchair securement or a passenger-assistance course. Driver credentialing is also where an operating fleet gets caught later: a license, an MVR, or a background check quietly expires and the driver can no longer run trips. What are Georgia's NEMT vehicle requirements?
